2nd Limited

This is my 2nd Escape limited. The first was the 2005 which we leased. At the time we had reviewed everything available on the market and really felt comfortable in this one. Visibility was great, super easy to park (work parking is extremely awkward underground), good gas mileage in it's class, overall very comfortable and enough space for both of us and the dog! Used it for camping and towing a boat never a problem.

In 2008 we did the exercise again just to be sure. The only tempting one was the 2008 Jeep liberty (more towing power) however side by side less cargo space and the model we scheduled with the dealer a week in advance to test drive for the afternoon died on the side of the road 2 kms from the dealer!!! On top of that they never called to apologize!

So here we go again for the Escape limited 2008 purchased in Feb 08. So far minor esthetics problem, sunglasses storage door broke 2nd day...it was -20C and the little plastic insert behind the passenger door fell out. Again I would put the blame on the cheaper interior as others have mentioned. But so far we are quite satisfied with it and look forward to a summer of boating and camping.
I would recommend this for a couple with a dog like us or 2 small children but there is limited cargo space, after all this is a "small SUV". But then again if you don't need to tow anything you shouldn't need a SUV and can get more comfort and more cargo space from a nice car.
