Is it me or is Forbes like the New Yorker? It seems so old money and boring that I am surprised the internet generation has not done away with it...I guess there are a lot of "old" money readers around supporting this often boring but sometimes use full magazine.

I must admit, that it is a useful as reference material. I often use it to see if the stories in Fortune and Business Week are so hot that even Forbes has to carry it.

Perhaps it's my age or the fact that I like information that I can deploy to better my career, portfolio or knowledge but Forbes just seems to "old" and "stogy" for it to be considered a 5-star type of mag.

Yes I do subscribe, but if I had to rank it, I would rank Fortune and Business Week as better as they have more articles in there publications that this Gen-Xer finds timely and useful. As a third choice sure, but it will never replace Fortune or Biz Week on my shelf, heck the Economist is money better spent, to bad it is just so dam expensive or I'd replace Forbes with it.
