You May Not Like His Politics, but

Steve Forbes, the heir to Malcolm Forbes, continues his father's good style and relevancy with Forbes Magazine. The magazine comes off as conservative, but in many ways it is an investigative reporting magazine. Their articles often question the business deals, business decisions and stock price values of companies; such as GE, Coca-Cola and the dotcoms.

Lately, the magazine has been hard on the dotcoms and often question their valuation and the wisdom to continue investing in them.

It is not the type of business magazine packed with stock picks. They do publish a yearly Stock Fund Performance List and also the Forbes 500 is widely acknowledged.

My main complaint with Forbes is the center section which has pages and pages of advertisement supplements sometimes the ads run 20 pages. The ads are from State commerce departments and foreign countries that try to sell relocation of businesses.

Forbes offers free bonus magazines, FYI and ASAP, which are irrelevant in my opinion. The articles in these magazines are written by "intellectuals" in their respective fields. Forbes is thick enough and packed with articles, so adding a supplement publication is a waste.

The columnists are established financial planners and market advisors. Their opinions are right on the mark and very current. These senior writers really do have their ear to the street.

Forbes is very pleasant, readable, established and always relevant magazine to subscribe to.
