Stupid story... a few humorous moments in between.

If you are expecting a good adventure film or a film which will make you laugh, then don't go and watch this film. This one does not have both. The story was supposed to be a fun filled treasure hunt, but the bad plot made it a below average flick.

Benjamin Finnegan (Matthew McConaughey) is treasure hunter, whose only ambition in his life is to find the treasure known as the "Queen's Dowry". Being mad after his treasure, Ben loses everything, his home, his money.... and even his wife. Kate Hudson stars as Tess, a career minded women who had the misfortune to be Ben's wife. After she thought she had enough of Ben's crazy treasure hunting, Tess decides to divorce Ben and start a career for herself afresh.

Meanwhile, Ben tries his luck at Bahamas with his Ukranian assistant. He leases out a small boat from a local gangster Big Bunny. Due to Ben's negligence the boat catches fire and sinks in the sea. Big Bunny become enraged and orders his associates to kill Ben. Ben escapes with his life thanks to the stupidity of Bahamanian gangsters, not before he gets hold of a clue to the treasure.

Desperate to find any financial assistance to get himself ready for the trip, Ben tricks multi-millionaire Nigel Honeycutt (Don Sutherland) and his dumb daughter (Alexis Dziena) in to believing that he already has the location of the treasure and the treasure hunt will be very adventurous. Honeycutt allows Ben to use his personal yacht for the treasure hunt. Unfortunately for Ben, he finds out that Tess is working as a steward in the yacht. After much persuasion by Ben, Tess decides to join the treasure hunt. But things don't go as simple as Ben planned. Having heard about the treasure, Big Bunny plans to get hold of the treasure. He brings in famous treasure hunter Moe Fitch (Ray Winstone), who is Ben's arch-enemy. Both Honeycutt's yacht and Moe's vessel fight it out in the ocean to locate the treasure first. What happens next is some outrageous action scenes and unfolding of a great deal of secrets.

The few humour scenes in between failed to make the movie interesting. The story also seemed to drag a little bit in the middle. The action scenes were sometimes unrealistic and disappointing. However I should say that Kate Hudson did her job better than the others. She looked quite lively and confident.
