A wonderful highchair.
Date of Review: Oct 24, 2006
The Bottom Line: A great design high chair I would recommend to anyone.
When my good eater son turned 9 months we knew that we need to buy a high chair for him. We went selecting one in Babysrus store. After comparing to other models on the shelf this one felt strongest and it's the best design so we picked it. Now he is 16 months and I am happy that I bought this product.
FRAME: The strong frame can be folded flat vertically for storage, which I think is a nice option though we have never need to do it.
SEAT: My son sits in it very comfortably. It has 7 levels adjustable height and 3-step decline backrest. What I love so much about the seat is that it has a 4-5 inches pole at the crotch to prevent baby from sliding down. I think the designer did a great job. The seat is not too deep like any other brand, my son fit in it perfectly ( he is now 26 lbs). The side guard is high so you don't have to worry about safety.
WHEELS: Each wheel has a lock and can rotate separately. When the lock is pressed down it stops the wheel from rotating. Since the lock can be pressed down too easily (for safety reason, I guess) the wheels are often locked by itself which is quite a nuisance. My husband always complains about it because we have to bend down to unlock the wheel almost every time we want to roll the chair.
TRAY: The tray is quite big which is great for my son. The downside for me is it makes it cumbersome to clean since it uses too much space under kitchen sink. The tray is actually a double trays consist of the main white tray and the snap-in light blue tray (dish washer safe). The main tray can be slide in and out by one hand and the blue tray can be snapped on top. Every time we feed our son it turns out both trays are dirty, so right now we never use the snap-in tray any more. The two hanging toys on each side of tray are detachable and easy to clean but it is not very useful because my son gets bored with them after a while. The Music toy can be snapped onto the main white tray which is great because my son cannot move it (throw it !). The music is more interesting than typical toy music so I like it myself too. The main tray can be removed completely so the high chair can be used as a booster chair when he gets older.
HARNESS: This chair has a 5 points harness so the baby can sit safely even when you leave the tray out.
CUSHION: The beautiful vinyl coated cushion is very easy to wipe clean, but the polyester filling can absorb a lot of liquid so at some time you have to put it in washing machine.
SUMMARY
This affordable good looking high chair is strong, study and easy to use and clean. It is also easy to move around however the self locking wheels are rather problematic. The package comes with two hanging animal toys and music box to entertain baby.
