Finally works! Loving it!

STILL ANOTHER UPDATE:  Fisher and Paykel gave us a new oven over a year ago, and we are loving it.  Although the repair people hadn't noticed until they pulled it out for the fifth or sixth time, the electricians had possibly caused the problem when they installed it. 9/12/09

UPDATE: New parts have been installed and oven is working fine and survived self-cleaning. whew! 4/9/08
We had this oven installed in October of 2007. It has never worked.


Service people have been here 5 times, to no avail. The Fisher & Paykel representative wants to continue to have the service people try to fix the oven rather than replace it. This includes replacing the skin on the door that was damaged when the hinge broke during one repair effort.

If you buy this oven you should know that it takes weeks to get parts, your repair people will not be happy about the repeated visits, and you may never have an oven (that you paid big bucks for) that actually works.
