LOVE IT!

My dryer motor was giving out on me, so I started searching reviews to decide my next choice. I always thought dryers were pretty much the same, just more bells and whistles with the higher price. I liked the top load design because of my height, and I found three brands that made them. Maytag, Whirlpool, and Fisher and Paykel have top load dryers. Of the reviews, I found that the Maytag and Whirlpool are not consistently well made. People either loved them, or they had so many mechanical problems they regretted buying them at all. Fisher and Paykel didn't have many complaints, other than the "plastic" lid. Well, it's football helmet plastic, and the factory rep sat on it to show it's sturdy. I bought the set, so I reviewed the washer as well. The dryer is called the Aero, and the washer is the Aqua model. They are both great! They get our clothes cleaner, faster, and use less energy. I wouldn't give up my Fisher and Paykel set for anything now, and I actually look forward to doing laundry. It's not an all day event anymore. This dryer has a self-cleaning lint trap, and it automatically empties into a little bucket. If you don't empty the bucket every load, it's just fine! I don't have to rake the clothes into a basket and crawl in to reach those socks and washcloths that stay all the way in the back. I just raise the lid, pick out big pieces one at a time to fold and put in the basket, then scoop out a handful of socks to set on the washer lid for matching. So easy on my back, and saves a lot of time. I highly recommend this dryer! I did purchase an extended warranty from Lowes just to have peace of mind (unfamiliar brand), but it won't start until the manufacturer warranty ends in 2 years. No overlapping warranties! Great product design. PLEASE do read the instructions. They are easy to follow, but this dryer operates a little differently, and you get the best results if you follow the instructions.
