Great Product!
Date of Review: Dec 4, 2007
The Bottom Line: Overall, I am really happy with the quality of this product, the versatility and the smile it puts on my daughter?s face!
This swing was very easy and quick to put together. Now, I actually do have an engineering degree... but trust me anyone can do it!!!
The instructions are well written, and a lot of the pieces are pre-assembled. My boyfriend and I were finished in about 20 minutes.
We haven t used it as a rocker yet because our 2-month-old daughter is not old enough.
It transforms very quickly from infant seat to swing. There is a kickstand that you put down when you use it as an infant seat, then just kick it up and slide it into the swing when you want to use it as a swing.
The toy bar has a lion with a taggy face and a green elephant that are attached by Velcro, and the bar itself is striped with bright colors: green, orange, and yellow.
My daughter loves the lion. She ll talk to it and squeal with delight! However, she doesn t like the toy bar in place when she is swinging. It must make her dizzy trying to focus on it as she is moving and the toys are swaying.
My daughter loves this swing! Sometimes it is the only thing that makes her happy when she is in a cranky mood. It often will put her to sleep also.
It plays snippets of 5 different songs, over and over again. This might bother some, but I m not the type of person who is easily annoyed. As a matter of fact, now I often find myself whistling twinkle, twinkle little star or the Fur Elise!
I love the infant swing. It keeps her content. I can move her from room to room with me whenever I have things to get done around the house and it doesn t take up much space probably a two-foot square.
It certainly beats rolling her around in her bassinet like I used to! It took up so much space, she was always lying on her back, and she could only stare at the white walls of the bassinet or the white ceilings!
The swing takes up about a 4 by 5-foot space. This isn t a problem for me, but it might pose a problem in a smaller apartment.
