Finding Nemo - Everyone will enjoy!
Date of Review: Mar 25, 2009
The Bottom Line: This is a great family fim!
My little 3 year old sister got this for her birthday and she watches it over and over. She can't seem to get enough of this movie! It is a great family film about a clownfish, Nemo, who gets captured by a diver/dentist and taken to Sydney, to live in fish tank. Nemo's father and his newfound friend, Dora, begin the long track to finding Nemo and bringing him back home again. The characters in this film are hilarious and the animation is incredible. This is a fun, entertaining movie for the entire family.
The movie features some of Hollywoods notable personalities, such as Albert Brooks as Marlin, Ellen DeGeneres as Dory, Alexander Gould as Nemo and Willem Dafoe, Brad Garrett, Geoffrey Rush, Erik Per Sullivan, and Barry Humphries (Dame Edna) in ensemble roles.
The animation in this movie is spectacular! It is fun to watch the expressions on Dora's little fish face, there is so much resemblence to Ellen and her expressions in real life. The movie is beautifully done, and is so realistic of life under the sea. There is great detail in this movie and it seems you find something new every time you watch it. I loved the sharks in this movie and their pledge - "fish are our friends, not food", and their little fish anonymous meeting (similar to AA). Also, I thought Dora was absolutely hilarious, with her amnesia! She only called Nemo once, by his real name. It was always something else - cheeto, elmo, etc. Funny!
Everyone will enjoy this movie.
