Another GREAT sleeper!
Pros:
Great use of anticipation. Great special effects.
Cons:
2nd rate dialogue
The Bottom Line:
Know how the Matrix was a flop in the theatre and is now a cult classic? The same will be for Final Destination.

Author's Review
Have you ever rented a movie, without really looking at the back of it, never heard anything about it, but ended up being a brilliant flick? Well, this just happened to me when I watched this over the weekend.
I do realize though, when you expect a movie to be great, it doesn't live up to your expectations. Since, in this case I had no expectations I had nothing to lose. After watching "Final Destination", I was extremely entertained and would highly recommend this to my friends.
The movie starts off kind of mysterious and spooky. You get a real "horror" type feel. It soon plays off and moves on the suspense. There is a real nice mix of horror, thriller and comedy.
The basic premise of the movie is about death and the path it presents. Trying to avoid death, and to change its structure. An amazing concept and just a plain fun movie.
I know my movie reviews is sub-standard, but I really don't want to tell you anything about the movie. Half the greatness of the flick, was the suspense and just NOT knowing what was going on.
That said, on to some more info. Suspense. Yea, I have used that word about a dozen times, but really; this was one of the first movies that actually had me on the edge of my seat. I usually like to lie on the floor in front of the T.V., but 15 minutes into the movie, I was sitting up glued to the set. The special effects were just superb. We aren't talking "Matrix" or anything; but just on a "reality" level, it was right on. Ok, I have to give away this ONE part... The "bathroom death scene" was so vivid and realistic, that it made me hold my neck just watching it. Ok, I shouldn't have even said that. Oh, and the bus scene! Oops... I better just keep quiet. Did I mention the decapi-...
As with any movie. It wasn't perfect. The acting was mediocre, and the dialogue was just so-so. Depending on your personality, depends on if this is a factor or not for you. To me, it is VERY important, but in this case I was so entertained from start to finish, that I simply ignored it.
We did rent this movie, but I will definitely make this a purchase of mine. On a side note, I would HIGHLY recommend watching this on a DVD with good slow motion. Call me morbid or sick, but at the end there are a few parts that you will want to see again... in slow motion.
