Two NES classics in one convenient package for the Game Boy Advance

by   HawgWyld ,  Feb 20, 2006
Pros: Two classic RPGs on one cartridge; still fun after all these years
Cons: Games are primitive by today's standards; some exhaustive dungeons
The Bottom Line: RPG fans, these classic titles are for you!
Review: The Final Fantasy series has become legendary among RPG fans, and with good reason -- Square has spent a good deal of time and effort on each title, so the series has enjoyed a long life. Of course, the first installment of Final Fantasy ...

by   skylerisaac ,  Jan 2, 2006
Pros: graphics, adventure characters,
Cons: story
The Bottom Line: I recommend this game to any old-school Final Fantasy fan for it's action and adventure, and great characters.

Pros: Complete games of Final Fantasy 1 and 2, with bonus dungeons and enhanced graphics.
Cons: The games havn't aged well, and the experience just seems dry at times.
The Bottom Line: Recommended to ALL turn-based RPG fans and all Final Fantasy fans, other people may want to skip this one.

Final Fantasy I & II Dawn of Souls: When Remakes Go Bad

by   kjell1979 , top reviewer in Games at Epinions.com ,  Jan 18, 2005
Pros: Final Fantasy II has better balance, the new Final Fantasy II content
Cons: Final Fantasy I is really messed up, too easy, extra dungeons are monotonous
The Bottom Line: What used to be the better game of the two is now a snorefest. The second game while still with its shortcomings is now the only reason to buy it.
Review: Those of you who remember some of my reviews from earlier years, might know that I really d on't like it when a company messes with the dynamics of a proven game or series. This is exactly the problem with Final Fantasy ...
