Fender American Deluxe Series American Deluxe Jazz Bass® Electric Bass Guitar

This new incarnation of the famous Fender Jazz bass is a monster! It combines all that originally made Fender the premier name in electric basses - Look, feel, playability, and of course THE SOUND ! I get the feeling while playing this axe that I used to get when playing the '69 Jazz bass that I owned many years ago. It is solid - no dead notes which are the bane of any electric bass - and has all the sound and feel of the old Jazz basses that were prized by old timers like me for these qualities which disappeared from fender for awhile there in the '70's & 80's. The finish looks great, and it tunes easily and holds tuning well. Jazz basses are always a pleasure to play live with. The weight is just right, and the offset body contours just right to the player at any strap length. It sounds great thru just abiut any system. That's been a trademark of the Jazz bass for years. Even the lousiest amp sounds decent when the player is using a Jazz bass. The new pickups on this model fix the biggest problem the old single coil pickups had. When playing on anything but both pickups you would get an annoying hum. These new pickups cure this problem as well as preserving that great old Jazz Bass sound. I cannot reccomend this axe highly enough to players of any experience level
