Pros:
Shuts off automatically and will not overheat.
Cons:
This is a little heavy and if you tip it over it wil hurt.
The Bottom Line:
Clening is a breeze and does more than we expected, this still makes a little noise. But what shredder doesn't.

IF you are like us, you like to keep all of your important information from getting into the wrong hands. That is why we decided to purchase a new shredder for our office. We were looking for a little bit larger one than the desktop one that we already had. The main problem that you always have is that with having, a little privacy comes a price tag and that is around $150 at Staples. The one only cuts ¼” strips and we did not trust that too well.
Description
This stands approximately 30” high, 22” deep, and 15” wide and weighs less than fifty pounds. It also has a 10-gallon removable waste container. You can up to 17 pages per time that you use this, it will shred everything from credit cards to cd’s and papers with staples still attached. The main opening is 9” wide and the shredder will stop automatically when you are done feeding the papers in. This will convert all of your documents to confetti size pieces of paper. This also comes with a 7-year warranty.
Experience
We have been using this now for about six months now and we have noticed that we can shred a lot more papers than before. Because this makes the papers into confetti, you can fit more into the waste container. We also love the fact that we do not have to turn this on and off every time that we want to use it. I never really timed it but it seems to do it in a very swift motion, when you start to feed the paper in then in a matter of seconds it swallows them and spits them out in little confetti pieces. This also has an overload protection device that when you put too many papers in, it will automatically stop. Another nice advantage of this shredder is that it has a full bag indicator light, when this is full the light will light up and you cannot go any further until you empty the waste container. They do make disposable bags that make easier on you when you need to empty this. You will not have to worry about burning this unit up because it is designed for shredding papers several times a day. I have forgotten to remove any paper clips sometimes and this shredder just tore them up. I had my daughter use to shred papers because she just loves doing that, she was doing it for over 45 minutes and it did not overheat.
Conclusion
With the seven-year warranty that this comes with, I do not foresee any reason to use it. It is very powerful and has done an excellent job shredding all of our legal documents. You can even stick whole pieces of junk mail inside of this. Even though our old one was still working this one goes and beyond the call of duty. I can give this five out of five stars for durability and working ability.
