"Can You Take It ?"

The Family Fun Magazine just jumped right out at me. I really like the children they put on the cover. They look so happy. It makes you want to buy the magazine just to see if you can make your children look that happy. I am not sure I could put all the time into some of the things that they suggest. This magazine does give you something to think about.

It is so hard sometimes to meet children on their level and do silly things with them. It really is what we need to do, "lighten up" that is.
In the August issue there is a seventeen page guide to Birthday Parties.
There seems to be a theme for every age in the year 2000.

Besides all the fun things to do with your family there is also places to go with the kids. How about the zoo? I really think it would be fun to go someplace every week if the finances would allow. But if they don't (the finances that is) then you could read about how to look at the stars and if you are lucky the kids might sleep in a little after you keep them up late outside at night. But don't forget the bug spray.

There is also the Family Fun Month page where you can get ideas of something to do each day in August. This is where you can find the web page information and get more ideas about recipes and other fun things.

Sometimes all I need is an idea to get us started on the road to a happy memory. This little magazine is full of great ideas. But there are also articles that tell stories of family situations with solutions and tips for happier living. There is the Family Traveler section that gives you tips for last minute lodging as well as Fairs, Festivals, and Fun Events.
There is the Review Roundup section that tells you the latest in Books, Videos, Music, and Software. Also how to have fun on the computer.

How about the Cooking Class Section that talks about how to create finger foods. We know how everyone likes a special treat made from their own kitchen.

There is also an article on how to raise Butterflies adding all the information on the stages of growth. Maybe if the kids see you reading this magazine they will want to pick it up and learn something. They won't find anything bad for them in this magazine.
