Packet8 Videophone is Awesome - Great Way to Stay in Touch Cheaply

The Bottom Line: Highly recommended, great way to stay in touch with loved ones, even in the same city. And for those who need it for business, it's an easy to use solution.

Beware!

The Bottom Line: STAY AWAY! Proprietary hardware locks you with their service and rules. Does not even work well. Many other alternatives available for much better quality phone service.
Review: Be very careful with Packet8, read Terms and Conditions very carefully. I did not try their video-phone service, just regular residential voice service, back in November 2004. Voice connection within the US was acceptable however noticeably worse...
