Nice little camera

This is my first digital camera. I have a lot of years of experience with 35 mm film. I had two pet peeves about digital cameras. One the long shutter lag times would drive me nuts. Second, I hadn't been able to get prints at my local Sam’s. Well the second objection has been removed for sometime. And now the first objection has also been removed.

The shutter lag time on this camera is not noticeable.

I bought this camera mainly as a backup point and shoot while carrying my 35 mm film camera. Also to have on hand when I wouldn't normally be carrying a camera at all.

It is very small and portable.

I also wanted the manual control features.

The thing that I like about this camera is that it is very portable. Also the scene modes are much more helpful than I had figured they would be. Again I am primarily a film guy and generally scoff at scene modes.

I have been disappointed in the manual controls department. Yes you can adjust the aperture, but you only get two choices. Yes you can adjust the shutter speed, but again your choices are limited. and manual focus is very difficult without some indicator other than the LCD on the back. I wouldn't buy this camera again if manual control was really important to me.

The one thing that I like least about this camera is that it has a tendency to accidentally get turned on while being carried in my pants pocket.

Overall I like the camera a lot.
