Product Review

Fun for the Evil Dead fan! and others who like zombie killing.

by   ladycat713 ,   Mar 3, 2008

Pros:  Zombie killing fun. Multiple weapons after you find them. Bruce Campbell doing Ash's voice.

Cons:  It can get frustrating if you can't find the thing you need to advance.

The Bottom Line:  I recommend it. It's an all around fun game. However , Evil Dead fans will probably get more out of it than non-fans.

Overall Rating: 4/5 stars

Not to mention a great way to work off some frustration by chainsawing a few zombies.

You as Ash - have to save the world - again. Unfortunately due to Ash's ability to get distracted by a pretty face , he has to track a bad guy throughout history. That's when the fun begins because once you close all the vortexes in present day you have to follow the bad guy to the past so he won't mess things up there. You do get to meet an ancestor and it turns out the ability to cobble together weapons is inherited.Though you do have to collect the parts he needs to build you a weapon.

When you beat a section you can go into a mode where you can try and beat the clock and beat the task . It can be a great way to practice your skill set in this game .

There's also an interview with Bruce Campbell about the game and the little touches added. For instance , in the movie they made the constant smoke come out of the chainsaw by running a hose down Bruce Campbell's arm. Luckily in the game , they just needed a computer.

I recommend saving before you get to the end boss , in case what weapons you have saved aren't enough. However they do start you out with the weapon you need to defeat the boss already in your hands.Which is a nice touch.
