Pros: Well acted and full of suspense
Cons: Cooper, the black stereotype
The Bottom Line: Without Cooper this would be perfect, but as it stands it is a decent sci-fi/horror flick that is a must see.
Review: A signal is picked up in orbit of Neptune from the Event Horizon, a starship with experimental engines that went missing several years previously. A salvage crew, as well as the ship's designer, are sent to investigate and retrieve the ship and crew, ...

Pros: Incredible premise, great effects
Cons: Some corny dialogue that make the actors come off looking bad
The Bottom Line: Event Horizon is a spectacular film of suspenseful terror that's half horror and half science fiction. A must!
Review: I'm a horror writer. That being said, Event Horizon is my favorite movie of all time.
Epinions lists this movie in the Science Fiction/Fantasy genre, but I think that's misleading. This movie definitely takes place in the future and in a... |

Pros: Kept you in suspense. Good Plot. Good Cast
Cons: NONE
Review: This is by far the best movie i have ever seen and there is no other movie that even comes close. The reason that this movie is so good is because there is no need for too many special effects, and it kept you in suspense for the beginning to the end....

Cons: Nothing Really
Review: I don't want to bore you so I just going to write a short paragraph on what I thought of the movie...One day my friend said he wanted to see this movie. I thought it was stupid movie(but i had never seen it or knew what it was about). I just judged the...

Pros: Great plot, nice graphics
Cons: I found it very scary....
Review: I saw this movie one calm day in the summer in the video store, and I thought it looked interesting. So I plopped down my 3 and a half dollars and took it home. I waited for night to fall, and I began to watch it. I was glued to the screen for two hours....

Pros: Great Plot, Great Graphics, Great Premise, Creepy as Hell
Cons: A little confusing at times
Review: This is the first movie that ever scared me. Honestly, and I have seen a lot of movies. I looked up in the sky, around corners, in the closet, under the bed, anywhere possible. This movie is that scary. Sam Nell plays a scientist who had designed a ship...

Pros: great stomach turning special effects, suspenseful, horrific, good time to be had by all.
Cons: definitely not recommended for children or the elderly.
Review: I cannot possibly say enough good things about this movie, it kept me at the edge of my seat the first time I saw it, and still freaks me out now. A very creepy storyline with even more creepy special effects, I would have to warn against young ...

Paul Anderson's Event Horizon |

Pros: Nice visuals, interesting concept, cool gore, and good performances from Sam Neill and Laurence Fishburne
Cons: Ideas could have been explored with more depth
Review: Event Horizon: Golar Productions/ Paramount Pictures
Rating: USA: R/ UK: 18/ Australia: MA HmÂ…it seems the good folks here at Epinions have chosen to place this movie in the "Science Fiction/ Fantasy" film... |

"Event Horizon": I Stand Guilty Of Finding It A Pleasure |
|||||||||
|
Pros: Great scares and excellent FX.
Cons: Stupid ending; you're not allowed to admit that you like it.
The Bottom Line: Scary, gory and intriguingly ambiguous, Paul Anderson's one and only decent film is an overlooked crowdpleaser.
Review: Another review another write/off. I dunno what it is with these things, but I seem to get more enjoyment out of writing stuff based on a specific theme that I do with any of the other stuff. But either way you lot should all be damn grateful that I let ...

Pros: Sam Neill. Laurence Fishburne. Quantum physics. Nasty gore. No funny stuff.
Cons: Obviously inspired by about 23 other movies.
The Bottom Line: Dark, nasty sci-fi/horror with a metaphysical twist and more than a few delicious gore scenes. Who said Quantum Theory is no fun?
Review: When I was asked to participate in a write-off celebrating "Underrated Movies", I figured it would be a breeze. I really enjoy lots of movies that movie critics and mass audiences have shown nothing but scorn to. Movies like Anaconda,...
