Baby Seems Comfy and Safe
Pros:
Roomy, nicely cushioned & plush, great safety ratings, affordable
Cons:
Hard to adjust straps
The Bottom Line:
Considering the safety vs. cost , I feel it is one of the best values on the market in convertible car seats, but it is far from perfect.

Author's Review
After much research my husband and I purchased the Evenflo Triumph for our daughter when she was on the verge of outgrowing her infant carrier. We graduated her to this convertible seat at 11 months. She seems to be quite content in this seat, but it is not without its faults.
For me, the deciding factors behind this purchase were the consumer safety ratings and the price. I was deciding between this seat and the Britax Marathon and just couldn't justify spending twice as much money on a seat that was deemed just as high quality as this Evenflo. I spoke with other parents and they all seemed to be really happy with the seat, so we bought this one.
The first thing we noticed was when you tighten down the straps to secure the child, it tightens by pulling the straps down to the legs. It doesn't adjust at an even tension and the legs can get really tightly strapped down while the chest is still rather loose. I was used to the infant seat that tightened by pulling up and adjusting at the shoulder level. So, that is an adjustment to get used to.
Second, plan on installing this seat and leaving it in the car, or upgrade to the seat that has the lobster claw like clips if you think you may want to move it from one car to another. I am not a very big person, but consider myself to be of average strength and I cannot uninstall this seat from the LATCH clips. I have to have my husband do it.
Finally, the quick release tab that is supposed to loosen the straps so we can get our daughter in and out of the seat often get jammed or stuck. It doesn't render the seat inoperable, but it is just frustrating when things don't work how they are supposed to. Unfortunatley this issue didn't pop up until the seat was out of its 90 day warranty and there is very little information on evenflo's website regarding how to fix this issue.
All in all, I am content with this seat. I am sure if I were to have spent $100 more on the Britax model I would be finding flaws with it too. What matters is that the seat is one of the safest on the market for my child.
