Author's Review
When I was pregnant with my son, I wanted what I thought was the "best" in a baby carrier, especially for nursing. I thought the snugli early care sling was the perfect answer to all my needs.
The concept is actually a good one. The carrier has good support, has safety features such as a harness (similar to a stroller harness) and the top closes completely up to baby's chin. The color is a pretty blue, and the inside is white. The strap on the carrier looked simple and comfortable.
Once I had my son and I tried using the carrier I was very disappointed. My son just did not lay in it comfortably, no matter what I tried. He always seemed to have his head and body at an awkward angle, and I tried adjusting the way the sling laid across my front, but nothing worked to alleviate this crooked positioning. Also, buckling him in and closing up the sling was time consuming and inconvenient.
Nursing was also not an option in this carrier. I had a hard time positioning him, because the back of it is stiff, he would sort of "slide" the top of his body and lay a little side ways in the sling. I didn't have much control on how to position him because of the back board in the sling.
There are also no color choices, for those who are picky about that sort of thing. I personally liked the color, but some may find it to "boyish" to carry a baby girl.
