Help me get this thing on!!
Date of Review: May 7, 2002
The Bottom Line: Once the baby is in the carrier, it works great...until the baby falls asleep. Worked better front facing for a newborn.
I bought this product because I like the Evenflo brand name. Getting it on the baby and me is the most difficult thing to do, even if my husband is helping. I thought that with time, I'd get used to it, but that's not the case. When she was a floppy newborn, it would take two of us to cram her into the pack, now that she's a squirmy 8 month old, it takes three people to get her in. One to wear it, one person to hold it open, and one person to put the baby in. And with three people doing it, it still takes 10 minutes to get her in. Then, while wearing it with the baby facing the front now, if she falls asleep her little head flops forward. I have to hold her forehead with one hand which kind of defeats the purpose of the carrier. It works great when she is awake, though. When it's time to get the baby out, it takes two people, one to hold down the carrier and one to pull on the baby, it's kind of like she gets stuck in there, and Abigail is not that big. I don't know if all carriers are like this, but I wish there was like a way to put her in on the side or something...
