An Easy Way to Keep the Kids On Your Back

Date of Review:  Jun 26, 2006
The Bottom Line: This is a nice no frills back pack for longer excursions, but for shorter trips I prefer my sling.
Review: When we were planning our trip to Disney World we were in a quandary about which child traps to bring. The double stroller was an obvious choice, as was the easy to pack sling. Beyond that we weren't too sure. In the end the answer was to bring...

The perfect carrier for hikes less than 3 hours.

Date of Review:  Dec 25, 2003
The Bottom Line: A good safe carrier that is great for short hikes. Comfortable for both you and your child and won't kill your budget, it also looks snazzy.
Review: My daughter was about to turn five, and I loved going on walks in the mall and in the woods with her, but the problem was that when I went for a walk in the woods I would often go up and down inclines that made it difficult to carry her in the baby...

good baby carrier for short hikes

Date of Review:  Oct 12, 2003
The Bottom Line: The Cross Country is a good carrier for most uses. It's construction is sturdy but isn't like the ones designed for overnight backpacking trips.
Review: I bought the Cross Country baby carrier for my 17 month old daughter who likes the outdoors very much. When I was first deciding which model carrier to get, I considered the Kelty KIDS carriers, but I didn't like their kick stand designs which won't...

Buy the Cross Terrain instead.

Date of Review:  Mar 3, 2004
The Bottom Line: Buy the Cross Terrain. The above ratings are for the Cross Terrain.
Review: I purchased the Snugli Cross Country frame carrier without canopy in 10/03 before the Cross Terrain came onto the market. I was reasonably happy with the product and the price, but I was always searching for an after-market canopy to add to the...

Great Child Carrier

Date of Review:  Oct 20, 2003
Review: We researched the available carriers and found that this one fit the bill. We had started out with the Baby Borjn (sp) carrier, which my son outgrew by 7 months. This carrier has good adjustment for both me (6-ft) and my spouse (5"9"), as well as my...

Great carrier!

Date of Review:  Feb 18, 2005
Review: We bought this product in the winter of 2002 when our son was a few months old. He loved it! We enjoy carrying our children when out, and this was perfect for so many reasons. The biggest being that there is a pouch below the backpack for diapers,a...

a good buy overall

Date of Review:  Nov 1, 2007
Review: We bought this because it was lightweight and fairly inexpensive. My 6'2 husband primarily wears it and it "just" fits him. I don't think it's really made for big men. The baby LOVES it. It soothes her stomach and gets us exercise at the same time...

Indispensable on a big hiking trip

Date of Review:  Mar 24, 2007
The Bottom Line: I highly recommend this product. Our daughter loved riding in it, and we like using it.
Review: We took the Evenflo Snugli framed carrier with us on a 6-week, 6,000-mile trip on my maternity leave with Child #2. Child #1 was 20 months old by then, and we were concerned she would be too big for a backpack. Fortunately, we received this backpack...
