This Is One Steamer That Doesn't Suck Enough.

Nice try Sears but you fall just a little short on this one.  My wife and I are always in the market for a floor cleaner that actually does the perfect job.  However, we have yet to find that perfect one.  There are many models, that do what this one does, but we chose this one because of the Sears warranty that they offer.  We paid $89 and thirty for the extended warranty, we always purchase this when we buy from Sears because it has been very rewarding.  They will take care of anything that happens to you product.

Description
This has a sleek design to it and is a canister type cleaner.  The electrical cord runs up the handle and hangs off the end.  This will use approximately 1000 watts of power.  This has a blue and silver sleek look to it.  This has four steam levels, with the first one starts out very low and each one after that increases the heat level.  The canister that holds the water is constructed of stainless steel.  You can also use this on carpeting because it comes with an attachment called the sledge, which will help loosen the heavy dirt and tough spots.  This has a canister that will hold approximately 17 ounces of liquid, and it does a 12” cleaning swipe.  The total weight of this when it is empty is approximately 9 pounds and that is without the cord weight, the length of this cord is 25’.

Experience
My wife and I have both carpeting and hardwood floors, with these we also have ceramic tile floors in our bathrooms and peel and stick tile floor in the laundry room.  As you can see, we have a very versatile house and we have a need of a device that will do all types of floors.  We have taken time to make sure that we use this in the proper manner, so that we do not make a mistake and because if we are not using this right then it will not give us good results.  For all of the hardwood, ceramic, and peel and stick tile it does a descent job. However, as for the carpeting it will need more work because it leaves the carpeting all wet and it takes too long to dry.  In essence, if you have too much carpet then you will have to keep refilling the canister, and that is what happened to us.  I would not recommend using this on your carpeting; it will not pick up the excess water.
Now for the other types of floors this does a fairly good job, but it still leaves too much water down on the floors.  We have some very nice wooden stairs that are 6’ wide and there are 14 of them and this is the right size for them, but again this leaves too much water down and takes a while to evaporate.  If you do not mind waiting for these floors to dry then go ahead with this.  The concept is nice but I have had better luck renting the rug doctor equipment from your local grocery store or home improvement stores every couple of months to take care of my problems.

Warranty
As for the warranty, Sears has the best one on the market and I would highly recommend getting it.  This does come with a one-year warranty on the parts, and a 90-day warranty on the labor.  If you plan to keep this for any length and you really like it then I would suggest that you purchase the extended warranty for just a few dollars more this should keep you happy.

Conclusion
Even though this does not do the carpets well, it is convenient when it comes to using this on all of the other floors.  This will hide in just about any closet and you can get the accessory pads to set this on while this in not in use.  This is possibly a good investment but I would not buy a replacement if this breaks.  I will probably spend a little more money and purchase a Hoover or some other larger model.  In my book, I can only give this 2.5 stars out of 5.
