Don't Waste Your Money or Your Time!
Date of Review: May 21, 2008
The Bottom Line: Don't buy this product, if you want a Dyson save up and get a Dyson.
The very first time we used this vacuum it was great. Wonderful suction, and we were very pleased. Then it went downhill from there.
You can not vacuum more then one room at a time otherwise it will overheat (as indicated by the red light) and shut down for 30 minutes before you can restart it.
In addition to get any decent suction on this thing it literally needs to be taken apart after every use and washed out thoroughly. The main chamber at the top takes 2-3 days in between to dry out. If you try to use this without fully washing it out between uses, you are lucky if you can pick up lint.
The kicker, the belt broke on ours, no problem we will go buy one. Well NO ONE sells their belts, apparently Shark doesn't allow them, we tried some other generic belts that were the same size but didn't work. So I finally broke down and bought the belt online for $14 and it was to be 1-3 weeks. Well it took them 3 weeks just to charge my card and now it is almost 4 weeks and no belt. There is no way to track your order online and I have yet to hear back from customer service where my belt is. We have had to resort to using the tool attachment to vacuum our house as we have no roller action without a working belt.
Biggest waste of my money ever, Shark company should not even be able to sell this worthless product. I bought it to save on the cost of a Dyson because it was sold as just as good as a Dyson and same technology. Whatever, I am saving up my money and buying my Dyson.
