Hi, all -
I seriously wish I would have read your comments before putting the Shark on my registry. My husband and I have now been married 5 months, and received this as a gift for the wedding.
At first, I was so excited to have such a great iron. As other posts have said, it worked phenominally! That is, while it lasted.
I can't believe that after 5 months of normal use, this iron is just completely unresponsive. When I called customer service, I was able to get the $10 return postage waived, but they said I should not expect a repair or replacement for 6 weeks! Since I work in a professional atmosphere, I can't go 6 weeks without an iron! They couldn't do anything about that, so today my husband and I will head out to buy a different iron.
In the meantime, I've written Euro-pro customer service and have included a link to this site. We'll see if they do anything to rectify this situation and keep me as a customer...but I'm not optimistic about that.
To all of you who are reading this before making a purchase: DON'T BUY THIS ONE! Even if a cheaper one doesn't last as long, at least you can buy 3 for the cost of one of these, and probably in the end those 3 will last far longer than 5 months.
