Euro-Pro GI490 Iron with Auto Shut-off

Judging from the previous reviewer's comments,it's good to know it wasn't just me.

This is the second Shark/Euro Pro iron that I have owned. They are wonderful irons, but their reliability is poor. I had this model for all of 5 weeks when it became lukewarm and would not get to a higher heat setting. After that, it would no longer heat at all.

My first one (another model) lasted about a year. It overheated and burned a cotton shirt. I think if they got a more reliable heating element, they'd be better off.

An iron that is not mistreated should last longer than this. It works good when it works, but I would suggest finding another product.
