Performing Great . . . .So Far!

Date of Review:  Jul 20, 2009
The Bottom Line: I have only used this product for the past six months but so far have been totally satisfied with its performance and would recommend it to others.
Review: I bought the Euro-Pro Shark G1490 Professional Electronic Iron about six months ago after my son borrowed my old dollar store iron and never returned it.  I had only paid ten dollars for the old iron but it had lasted me over five years so I figured...

It is indeed a piece of junk

Date of Review:  Oct 24, 2007
The Bottom Line: Only a "steam iron" in the loosest sense. Barely satisfies the warranty of "fitness for a particular purpose". Do not buy this iron.
Review: I'm afraid this review won't add anything to the debate. This iron is a piece of junk. I see that mine lasted longer than most -- three years -- before giving up the ghost. But it's been a painful three years.

From Day One, it's been very...

This Shark needs to be Harpooned!

Date of Review:  Nov 1, 2005
The Bottom Line: Keep away, Sharks Bite!
Review: My last iron was a $100 Rowenta Pro. Loved it while it worked but for a hundred bucks, I wanted something to last more than a year.

Several months ago we saw the Shark Euro-Pro at BJ's Wholesale Club. It was on a featured display with a...

Shark Euro Steam Iron

Date of Review:  Sep 12, 2007
The Bottom Line: Based on the packaging, product characteristics and price this product does not live up to name. I will probably never buy any other Shark product.
Review: It was with great pleasure that I watched the Shark being compressed by our Garbage Truck today. This piece of garbage has stained its last piece of clothing at our house. I have had to wash more clothing since I purchased this iron due to staining...

Fancy looking outside, shoddy parts inside

Date of Review:  Mar 6, 2007
The Bottom Line: Made with inferior materials and breaks easily. Poor design quality and not user friendly. Don't waste your money.
Review: Quite literally the only thing this iron has going for it is the 'fancy' stainless look and it's long cord. Even that doesn't last. It's sole plate scratches easily and gets a grungy dingy coating on it after a short time using it.

Iron...

I'm STEAMED Over This Iron!

Date of Review:  Jul 26, 2006
Review: My story is similar to others I've read, but I feel like I need to add my two cents worth. I purchased this iron at Target 6 months ago. I used the iron on average 4 times per week for touch up ironing & steaming.
Initially it worked great. I...

Wow - wish I would have read these posts before registering for this crap

Date of Review:  Jan 20, 2007
The Bottom Line: THIS PRODUCT STINKS - DON'T BUY IT.
Review: Hi, all -

I seriously wish I would have read your comments before putting the Shark on my registry. My husband and I have now been married 5 months, and received this as a gift for the wedding.

At first, I was so excited to have...

Don't buy this iron-it's a lemon.

Date of Review:  May 4, 2006
Review: Worst iron ever. Keeps tipping over when it's standing upright. constantly leaks water because temperature isn't constant, doesn't seem to get wrinkles out easily, and the outside sweats and drips on items while I'm ironing. Made ironing a shirt for...

Shark Iron -- auto shut off shuts off all the time

Date of Review:  Jul 30, 2007
Review: I wish I had looked at epinions before I bought this iron.

I liked the styling and I have a Shark floor steamer that works great. The auto shut off on the iron kicks in after the documented 7 minutes and no amount of "gently rocking back...

Very poor durability

Date of Review:  May 18, 2007
Review: This irons works great... when it works.

I've had two of these irons now. On the first the...
