Simple, effective, well designed and easy to unclog.

I am impressed with the smart design of this model. Someone with a little common sense designed this instead of a pencil pushing engineer. I have had to take apart numerous other upright vacs to try to find the stupid clog!! Especially those ones with the short hose on the bottom to connect the base to the bag, and the air travels some mysterious path up to the dust bin. Then you take half the vac apart to find and remove the clog. Not on this machine!!
Take the hose off the base(which you do to use the wand anyway, so it pulls right out). If not clogged there then there is another corner where it enters the dust bin, and it is clear plastic there(smart!)so you can see it. If it is there, then remove dust bin, reach in and remove it. If not there, then it is the hose. Very simple!! The filter is washable. To change belt, or brush roller, take 2 screws off the top of the base cover, and you are there. Gee, not 14 screws on the bottom!!
And it has great suction as well. Really can feel it pulling itself to the floor, and it removes a lot of dirt. I don't know about durability, but it is made simple, and that is a good thing. Got mine at Home Depot for $50. How can you beat that. Can buy 4 of these for the price of a $200 vac that probably does not clean any better, and probably not as smartly designed, and thought out.
