Pros: A COMPACT DEVICE WITH SEVERAL EMERGENCY FEATURES THAT DOES NOT REQUIRE BATTERIES.

Cons: TV RECEPTION MAY BE WEAK AND NOT ALL CELL PHONES SUPPORTED.

Pros: Great features, good value overall, good reception (except for TV bands).

Cons: Poor TV band reception in many locations, appears to be underdesigned add-on.

The Bottom Line: Consider other Grundig models. Shortwave will be better in emergency than a poorly-performing TV band. The 300 may still be the better choice due to the NOAA coverage.

Pros: Good features. Emergency Generator, Lights, Good weather band.

Cons: Very poor station selectivity. Two knobs stick out too much, could easily be broken off.

The Bottom Line: Only recommended for rural areas. Selectivity is too poor for city reception. TV Bands will become useless in February 2009. Buy the Grundig FR200 and a good weather radio.
