Pricey Perfume Assaulted My Nose

The Bottom Line: It is just personally way to strong for me.
A member of my family has just about the largest collection of perfumes I have ever seen. She likes to change perfumes a lot and many times she ends up giving perfume she has used a few times to someone else. Recently she gave me a bottle of Estee Lauder Pleasures Delight Eau De Parfum that she no longer wanted.
Estee Lauder Pleasures Delight Eau De Parfum Estee Lauder Pleasures Delight Eau De Parfum is a mixture of different aroma elements: Juicy Pomegranate, whipped Strawberry Meringue and tempting Caramel with a sprinkling of Sugared Rose Petals, dewy Freesia, White Peony and Fresh Greens, these are all scent I love so I was certain I would like this.
Estee lauder Pleasures Delight Eau De Parfum comes in two different sizes and prices.There is a 1.7 oz size which costs around $45.00 and a 3.4 oz. size that costs around $65.00.
For the price the bottle isn't really all that interesting it is just a pink bottle that looks like an average shampoo bottle and it is topped with an un-impressive silver lid, that looks a bit like a mushroom. The lid is removed and the perfume can then be sprayed.
The actual fragrance in my opinion is kind of like baby powder mixed with a faint hint of strawberry, a faint hit of rose and a faint hint of peony. My nose didn't really pick up on the other things The scent is kind of overwhelming right out of the bottle, but once you put it on your skin it kind of smells like a nice feminine soap. To be honest though the smell was a bit over whelming for me.
On the positive side the fragrance stayed with me for a very long time, which is something most people would appreciate. Unfortunately for me it made my nose twitch and made me sneezy. After a few hours I had to wash it off, as it started to give me a headache.
This fragrance can be purchased Nordstrom at the Estee Lauder Counter of course.
Final Thoughts Estee Lauder Pleasures Delight Eau De Parfum has a combination of a lot of different things that have a nice scent. The scent itself is not bad, however it is just unfortunately a little to strong for me. If it was a just a little more subtle it would be lovely. The fragrance is long lasting so if you like the scent and want to smell it all day with out having to reapply you might appreciate this.
The price is pretty steep for this perfume and the bottle isn't even all that pretty. For me it is not worth the price. I think for this kind of a price that a perfume should be really outstanding, this one is OK, but certainly not outstanding. It reminds me of several other high priced to strong perfumes, these kind of perfumes do nothing for me but give me a headache, and I am sure that such a strong scent is not appreciated by anyone who is around someone who is wearing it.
A nice perfume should be subtle, not assaulting, this one I am afraid is assaulting.
