Author's Review
I bought this printer primarily to print on Glossy Photo Print Paper. Also, I bought this printer to be able to print on printable CDs and DVDs. Because the use of labels on these mediums will ultimately render the CD or DVD unusable, due to labels peeling off, causing an imbalance of rotation of CD or DVD, air bubbling under label causing jamming in some players, etc. Printing directly on the CD or DVD Mediums solves this problem and Movies or Music or Data CDs have a longer endurance and better protection of Data on these media.
On some discounted glossy paper, off brand, non name brand glossy photo paper, output remained substandard, producing a sticky feel. This was the exception, rather than the norm however. All major name brand and most discounted photo glossy paper produced superb results. Experimenting with the various off brand papers will clue you in on what's right for you. Sometimes it's a matter of you get what you pay for.
Produced very good results on plain paper, as well.
The color management software that came with the printer produced less acceptable results. I prefer to use the default color management process that comes installed with the printer driver and Windows.
Speed of delivery of prints was competitive with other inkjets on the market. Again, what sets this printer apart is the quality of the reproduction.
Quality of print was of the utmost importance. If you are looking for a reasonably priced Photo Inkjet Printer that produces the highest quality prints and reproduces the color on your screen accurately, this Photo Inkjet Printer is for you. After using it for over 1 year, without a doubt, I highly recommend this printer, if quality and accuracy of print is your primary concern.
