Pros: Instant-on white LED lights. Outstanding Epson Scan software.
Cons: Nothing I've found so far.
The Bottom Line: Really, really nice scanner. A little pricey but the results are totally worthwhile.
Review: For years now, I've sat in my home office looking at a huge crate full of 35mm pictures and negatives, thinking "one day I'll scan that lot in". Long story short - I got a new scanner at work - the Epson V4490 which is essentially the V500 but with a ...

Pros: 4 slides at once- good time saver for non-pro use
Fantastic value for cost.
Cons: None yet
The Bottom Line: Don't bother with an expensive slide scanner unless you work for a museum. For home use, this thing is perfect.
Review: I have read many reviews on the high priced, function specific scanners for 35mm slides. A common issue is that it would take months to scan in a large collection. This inexpensive bit of 'perfection' scans 4 slides at a time. This cuts your time at a ...

Review: Using a 4 year old laptop, running XP Pro -I unpacked the V500, followed the single instruction sheet and was scanning with excellent results - all within about 15 minutes from opening the box.Having looked at the reviews on several ...

Pros: Offers wide range of scanning options, good software and low energy use.
Cons: Only on-line manual. Lack of estimates for scanning time at different parameters.
Review: Semi-professional scanner. Normal scanning of films at 3200-4800 dpi takes just right time when you can edit scanned photos with the attached software. Maximum scanning at 12800 dpi is possible but one slide takes about 3 hour – interesting option ...

Pros: Lots of different settings. Slide scanning looked sharp and clear.
Cons: Learning curve for Beginner. No printed manual. $250 is higher than others in its class.
The Bottom Line: If you're looking for a scanner to do slides and documents, this one is wonderful.
Review: When I inherited my father's slide collection, I got serious about getting a scanner. This is the first scanner I've purchased. In fact, this is the first scanner I've used! I have looked at several scanners and narrowed it down to an HP ...

Pros: I ordered the product on Friday and received it the following Tuesday.
Cons: I received a damaged disk containing unusable software which Epson refused to replace.
Review: I bought a Perfection V500 scanner through the Epson on line store. I chose that scanner because it contained Photoshop Elements software and my alternate selection did not. I received a damaged disk containing unusable software. Epson told me that I ...

Pros: Great sound and easy to use.
Cons: Pros don't matter if the unit won't hold a charge.
The Bottom Line: I discourage consumers from buying a Motorola bluetooth product. Their support program is marginal and the quality of the product does not inspire confidence.
Review: I was very excited when the sales rep offered me this higher-priced model. He said that I would understand the price when I started to use it. I got it home, charged it up, and easily paired it with my phone. I liked the quality of the sound, and the ...
