Great for a Casual User

Pros: Small, Bright sharp picture, remote, easy to use. Came with case, most cables, good instructions

Cons: Lamp replacement.. expensive. 50% cost of new unit new. Poor speaker quality No HD cable

The Bottom Line: A good buy for any casual user. Would seek more experience for a business/professional use re lamp life etc.

I do a number of personal family slideshows as a hobby. It is rarely for any payment and the projector usage would be under one hundred (100) hours per year. I got a great buy on this at Staples.. and so far.. it is one year old... and works perfectly. A new lamp will cost 1/2 of the original purchase price.. ouch! The image from PC's is sharp & clear..I haven't tried it our on my HDTV yet.. but that is possible (more on cables later) It runs quietly, and does not seem to get very hot. The remote has many functions (pointer, freeze, zoom etc.) It has worked reliably and as expected... But again.. I stress I'm a casual user... Oh as an added thought.. the built in speaker.. nice if you have no other choice.. but it is definitely emergency use only... poor sound quality.

The unit ships as HD ready.. but you need to purchase a $100 cable to convert to HD Component to VGA.

The size is perfectly portable & light. It seems to be very durable. nice secure lens cap. controls were intuitive and instruction while clear.. weren't really required. Set up and leveling (including getting rid of trapazoid).. is very easy.
