Reliable, cheap, fast Epson workhorse

Of the many printers in our office, the Epson C880 is the one that’s reliably up and running. You can buy this printer for a meager $80. and it will last years. It’s compact design requires limited desk space, it’s fairly quiet and it prints at a fast 22 pages per minute (black ink) 12 pages per minute in color.

Second market inks keep the cost of printing very reasonable.
The four separate ink tanks save a lot of money since you only replace the colors you use. You don’t see this individual cartridge feature in many inexpensive printers. This will save a lot of money over the life of the printer.

Occasionally we have to run a head cleaning to alleviate banding but if you print one color page or a purge page every day it will almost never need cleaning.

This printer is ideal for text and okay for photos too, especially when printed on Epson Photo papers. Border free photos are an option on the C88 with its easy photo editing software. It can even print banners up to 44 inches long.

I like the Epson brand for their easy software downloads and fairly decent customer service.
