Great jazz box for the price

Date of Review:  Feb 28, 2006
The Bottom Line: This box delivers the jazz sound at a price that anyone can afford -- as long as you don't get stuck with one of the lemons.
Review: I am writing this because it would be unfortunate if anyone failed to give a serious look at this guitar based on the other review. The Joe Pass is probably the most widely-recommended inexpensive archtop jazz box made. The reason for that is that...

This Woody Leaves Me Flat!

Date of Review:  Jul 21, 2003
The Bottom Line: I would try others first!
Review: Epiphone Emperor II (Joe Pass)

A few years back I was in the market for a full size hollow body "Jazz" box. I had tried many and the one of them was the Epiphone Emperor II (Joe Pass) version. If you would like to read about the ones I...

A guitar that can make you sound better.

Date of Review:  Jul 10, 2006
The Bottom Line: This is as good a jazzbox in it's price range as you'll find, and it keeps a better resale value than Ibanez and others.
Review: The Joe Pass II was essentially a retitled
Emperor II model, endorsed by jazz legend
Joe Pass. He posed with one in an instruction
booklet, but really used guitars like the
Gibson ES-175.

The Joe Pass also isn't a true...

A great blues, jazz, classic rock, country playing guitar

Date of Review:  Aug 22, 2001
The Bottom Line: This is a great bargain on a beautiful looking and playing hollow body.
Review: Features-The Epiphone Emperor II Joe Pass model is a single cut-away hollow body arch top. It has a lamitated maple body and a maple neck with a rosewood fretboard. It comes with two epiphone humbucking pickups and a rosewood non-adjustable bridge...
