A Guitar For The Bluesman

Date of Review:  Nov 16, 2000
The Bottom Line: A quality instrument offered by a venerable guitar manufacturer
Review: The Gibson Guitar Company began producing the B. B. King Custom guitar in 1980, and renamed it the B. B. King Lucille in 1988. The guitar has pretty much retained its' original design and specifications since its' introduction in 1980, and has...

Epiphone B.B. King Lucille: The Thrill Isn't Gone

Date of Review:  Aug 7, 2007
The Bottom Line: A rare artist series guitar that gives the player the feeling that he has something distinctive.
Review: I recently bought a used Epiphone B.B. King Lucille to replace a couple of my jazzboxes. The recent availability of Gabor Szabo CDs at my local used record store brought on a buying frenzy and the end result was that my jazz ear went haywire.

The Real Thing

Date of Review:  Dec 22, 2003
The Bottom Line: BB King doesn't play this guitar for nothing.
Review: I got my BB King Lucille in early 1995 and, to my shock, it was one of the last guitars Gibson produced in their Centennial Year of 1994. I was quite pleased by this since I paid the maximum discount price, several hundred dollars less than they go...

A nice collector guitar and thats about it !

Date of Review:  Aug 5, 2002
The Bottom Line: Nice if you are a collector but not a players guitar. Rather have several other cheaper Gibson models.
Review: UPDATE: Before reading this review please keep in mind that I love this guitar and most Gibsons but I am trying to point out reasons why I would or would not buy it. This is a very fine instrument.

Well I have to agree with the other...
