Author's Review
I actually liked all of the functions claimed to be on this ipod clock radio, and, unlike other users, thought the sound quality was ok. The one feature I did NOT like (but decided to live with) was the fact that the LED (even on the DIM setting) was BRIGHT(!!) and could not be shut off. I figured I could just cover it up if it bothered me too much. Never got to that issue however, as the main reason I purchased this was to use it with my 20 gig 3G ipod. Despite the advertised claims, no ipod functions (NONE) were controllable from either the unit or the remote. Worse yet, despite claims that the iTone would charge the iPod, it did not. Rather, it kept the iPod "on" (but not playing) overnight and completely depleted the battery in the iPod. After recharging my iPod in my Apple Dock, I experimented: If I turned the IPod on "play" BEFORE placing in the iC200 Dock, when placed in the iC200, the sound would come out of the speakers, but the iPod would be completely uncontrollable from any source (all I could do was turn the volume UP or DOWN - and, contrary to the instructions, once the power on the iTone was turned off, the iPod stayed powered "ON" but not playing, and worse, not charging. Sorry! Back to the store. A waste of time.
