Decent unit. Echange if weekend alarms dont work.

It is very difficult to find a simple CD clock radio that works. This one works well. I had to take my first one back for exchange. It had a severe internal programing error. When setting the time, you also set the day of the week, which there should be no need to do. I couldn't get the alarms to work on the weekends at all. It would work fine on all other days. After calling Emerson support, they told me to exchange it with another one, because it shouldn't do that. I was a bit reluctant, thinking they would all be like that, but the new one works just great! The LED display is very readable and doesn't light up the room at night like many other units that use LCD displays. You can only wake starting at track one when waking to a CD. The battery backup doesn't retain alarm function when the power is out.
