Emerson RS1008 CD Shelf System

I purchased this unit a little over a year ago (X-mas 2005).
I loved the way the system looked and the sound quality was very good. For a simple stereo system it came with everything. CD Player, stereo, bass woofer and the look is very unique. I received many compliments on the uniqueness of its look. Last week (almost a year to date of the purchase), I went to turn the stereo on and there is no power to the unit. What is extremely irritating about this is (1) I very rarely used the unit, maybe on weekends if that, so it should not have stopped working due to over use, (2) it's barely a year old, (3)no one sells this unit anymore so I have to avenues to get it repaired or replaced.
I have definitely learned my lesson regarding EMERSON products.
