Author's Review
This is the first and the best of the Alyssa Milano nudie films, which annihilated her good girl image forever, and led to her currently working actress status. It was produced by Ministry of Film, a phantom company of Penthouse (information Milano wasn't privy to). Also starring (though non-nude) are Jennifer Tilly, Rachel True (The Craft), and Charlotte Lewis. This is sort of an erotic-gothic coming of age story. Milano plays Charlotte, sheltered virgin and first year college student. She takes a bit of ribbing from her sexually liberated friends and impatient boyfriend, until the dreams start. She is nocturnally visited by "The Vampire" (Martin Kemp, former lead singer of Spandau Ballet), who believes she is his lost love from his mortal existence. One never truly knows whether the vampire stuff is real, or if it's just symbolic of her awakening. In any event, before you can say "I know this much is true", Milano is sporting sexy goth clothes and make-up, and experimenting with Charlotte Lewis (very nice scene). The plot starts, then stops, never really going anywhere, but one doesn't care; one is just happy to finally see the "Who's the Boss?" star nude. It is fitting that this review is on-line, for the film is connected to much internet controversy. Regretting her nudity in the film (though admittedly it led to her roles in "Melrose Place" and "Charmed"), Milano and her mom successfully sued pay sites featuring vid-caps of this work. Then just a month later, paparazzi took full frontal pictures of her on a nude beach. Oh well. Some people will never learn.
