The Story that is Overated!
Date of Review: Mar 26, 2007
The Bottom Line: Nothing worth buying because it doesn't bring anything new to the table enough to be priced for $40
I have to admitt I was very excited about getting this game, mostly because I thought it would bring a new experience to the world of the sims. Sadly, I was very disappointed at my purchase. However; before I list my cons, I will start with the little list of pros I have about this game.
This game offers a new mode to sims fans that allows you to play through a story mode. It offers expansion pack items into the game, so that if you have been playing the regualar version with alot of expansion packs, you won't be loosing to much. It's able to run on lower end computers at a reasonable speed. The short cuts are also a blessing for those who do not like using the mouse to click everything. Thats allow of the pros I have about this game.
The cons about this game are that alot of things haven't change enough to make a person that already has this game buy it. The story mode doesn't offer anything new that hasn't already been down with the console versions or with the other pc versions. The story mode part is overated becasue it is nothing new, except a new story. The shortcut menu as I have discovered is nothing new, because I could do that on the other pc sim games. The only thing they do different is offer you a key table to actually show you the shortcut keys. I dislike the fact that there is only one neighborhood to live in.
Overall this game is not really worth buying because, it doesn't bring anything new and is far behind what you might already have with the sims. So do your wallet a favor and save the money inside for an expansion pack for The Sims 2.
