My husband bought me this for Christmas, and so far, I like the game. Having been a fan of the Harry Potter books and movies, I thought I would try out the game.
Hogwarts is wonderfully recreated, and there is plenty to explore. I will say that the ever changing staircases make it a bit difficult to get around, but it's still fun. It helps to have read this cook to play the game, for then such things as the Marauder's Map make sense. There are mini games, like Wizard's Chess, and Exploding Snap Memory which help along the way to add to the fun.
The best part about the game so far, in my opinion is the fact that with the Wii, you actually feel like you're casting spells, due to the way you have to move the Wii- remote when you cast different spells.
The game has tedious points, and you have to back track quite often, and follow tons of commands through out game play. There's a definite storyline you have to follow. You have missions, and you have to finish these missions to complete to go any further. You can wander around the castle, but you don't really have free run to play.
The graphics are ok, but not dead on. Hogwarts is wonderfully detailed and recreated in its entirety, but the characters do leave something to be desired.
All in all, its not a bad game, but it could do with some improvement.
