I was skeptical about this game because I saw pictures and said “Sure, that’s fine for a cut scene. But what does it look like in action?” That IS the action. No joke. When playing this game online or off I feel like I’m watching a live fight on HBO. This is a TRUE next generation title in every way.

The controls are precise and there are six different control schemes to choose from. “Total Control” punching is awesome if you can master it and your fingers will never have to leave the thumb sticks. This is not a button masher. You have to learn how to fight. And more importantly you have to learn how to block. Try to jump online without mastering these controls will get you KO’d in a heartbeat.

Every punch is felt, seen, and heard. Cuts open, and bruises form right before your eyes. When caught with some punches the scene will cut to angle shots where faces deform and bones crunch. Blood and spit pray out of mouths as sweat splashes off the faces. Then your fighter falls to the mat with a frightening “THUD!”

The in game graphics are so good that words cannot even start to describe it. Skin maps, lighting, and details make this game photorealistic and shows what just cracking the surface of the 360 can accomplish. This is what we have all been waiting for. You can choose from all the classic and modern fighters or create one from scratch. The player creator can take up 2 pages alone so I will just say if you have a vision of what your fighter should look like…you can make him. Then you can take him on LIVE and whoop some butt.

Everything about this game is a 10. No holds were barred when putting this bad boy together.
