The Bottom Line: If you like FPS Games pick this one up
The Developers at CRYTEK have created another masterpiece after the Success of FarCry. Crysis is visually stunning and shows what future PC'S Games will look like. Current High end machine have trouble maxing out graphics with this Game, but if you want the highest resolution with the highest graphics you will need A Quad core CPU of at least 3 ghz, 2 Video cards running in SLI Mode with 512 mb each, and an 800 watt power supply to power it all. Everyone else just start turning down those setting to low and Med with average frame rates between 20-30 .
With those true Specs out of the way, The game play is pretty much your typical FPS With you and your team Investigating mysterious going on an island with North Korean soildiers That have uncovered something Big. When you land you quickly find out something is killing your team and the koreans with it getting more like a Scifi Adventure than your typical day on the beach. In Crysis Your equipped with a nano suit which gives you the ability of Invisibilty, Deflect Bullets, Jump High and break down any object with super Strength.
The ability to pick up and throw any object or Foe also adds to the gameplay and Fun Factor. Picking Up weapons can be a pain where you much look directly at the weapons before your able to pick it up BUT Adds to the realism factor but in the heat of battle this gets frustrating quickly. Physics plays a big role in this game and unless you Put the Gameplay physics on at least Med Settings you'll MISS all the eyecandy. And thats where Crysis falls short, Without a great gaming rig you not only miss the graphics but the Destructable Houses will no longer be an option On low Settings. Crysis is truly a game 5 years before the technology caught up. Eventually Everyone will have a Quad core gaming rig with 4 gigs ram and Video cards in SLI MODE, But till then its a game for the hardcore ready to shell out alot of money for a machine around $2000.00
