The best vacuum I've owned
Pros:
Great filters for allergy sufferers, quiet, light, suction controls, great easy to use attachments!
Cons:
Probably wouldn't do a great job on shag carpets.
The Bottom Line:
I would recommend this vacuum to anyone because it works great, is so easy to use, great filtering, and good-looking too!

Author's Review
I bought my Electrolux Harmony vacuum almost two years ago now - thanks to the reviews here on Epinion! I decided to wait awhile to post a review to see if anything popped up that I didn't like about it. So far, so good!
First off, my son and I both have allergies. His are minor: just dust mites, mine are pretty much everything, including our two cats! So finding a vacuum that doesn't vent it's dust back into the room (like bagless vacuums) was a huge priority. The Harmony has a HEPA filter just for that purpose. It also has different bags to choose from to collect the dirt in: regular bags and "Clinic" bags for us allergy sufferers.
The Harmony is the quietest and lightest vacuum I've owned. I've even vacuumed when my son was sleeping in the next room and he never woke up! In our new home we have stairs and I've had no problem moving the Harmony up the stairs as I vacuum them.
The suction on the vacuum is fantastic! There are two settings on the main "head", one for carpet and one for hardwood. There's a foot button that's easy to press to change back and forth.
The attachments are great too. They may be my favorite part of the design actually. There is an attachment holder on the handle of the vacuum. It's so simple just to unhook the vacuum from the floor piece (either at the floor level so you can have a long handle to vacuum tall curtains or right near the handle to vacuum at your level), grab an attachment right from the handle, pop it on and vacuum away. I'm considering purchasing the "Pet Kit" for the added attachments specific to cat hair but the ones I have now work alright too.
One last thing, then I'll throw in the disadvantages: there are controls for increasing or decreasing the level of suction - they're easy to reach, either with your foot on the main body or your finger on the handle. This is really nice when vacuuming little rugs that you don't want to get sucked up or curtains because on full power, this baby can SUCK.
The caveat here is that the Electrolux is a great vacuum for hardwood or laminate floors. In our old house we did have two rooms with carpet and the rotating head did a great job in them (and an EXCELLENT job picking up the cat hair). But I could see if someone had shag carpet or lots of little rugs to vacuum this might not be the vacuum for them.
