Love this Vac!

I purchased this vacuum after finding out I was allergic to my 2 new cats. I researched vacuums on allergy websites and Electolux was mentioned often. This vacuum is the latest in the Electorlux family and I am glad it is now in mine. I vacuum 3 times a week to avoid the collection of cat dander in my carpet.
I also must take Zyretec and keep the cats out of my bedroom as part of my antidander routine but I have noticed that since vacuuming with the Electorlux- my hives have stopped. I was still having hives when using my old bagless vac. In reference to my "old" vac- it was less than 2 years old.
The suction on this vac is great. The bags are easy to change and expose you to less allergens than shaking out a bagless canister. I use it on my carpets and hardwood floors. There is a button to push when on bare floors to stop the roller brush. I can go from carpeting onto my hardwood with just the push of a button. If you are looking for attachments this is not the vac for you- there aren't any. I already had a hand-held vac with brush attachments that I was using for crevices and furniture so this was not an issue with me. This is also not a vacuum you will be able to use on stairs. Again- I was already using the hand-held for this.
I love the retracting cord winder. I hated wrapping the cord up on my old vac.
I have had difficulty finding the HEPA filters but they are good for 1 year according the the owners manual. I was told they can be found at Lowe's but haven't had the chance to check.
If I had a suggestion to make to Electrolux about this model it would be to make the bags and filters more readily available. The only other suggestion would be to not change a thing!
