This Sucked... And Not in a Good Way!
Date of Review: Mar 2, 2008
The Bottom Line: Skip this one! A broom would work just as well, and cost a lot less.
My partner and I have a 1930's, American-style Bungalow home with mostly all hard-wood floors. We purchased this item in hopes of cleaning both the floors, as well as the one throw rug we have in our dining room. When we purchased the vacuum at our local B.J. s Wholesale store, we were excited! When we put it together, we were excited! When we cleaned the hard-wood flooring in our home, we were excited! When we cleaned the throw rug, we were terribly disappointed! Let down! Dismayed! For all the great reviews that we read, and the brand loyalty we have for Electrolux, it wasn t worth the $80 price tag.
You see, we have cats. Not a lot of cats we aren t one of those crazy families with twenty felines running in and out all day. But we have two cats, who love to curl up on the rug and sun themselves while we re at work. So, as one can imagine, the rug gets a reasonable amount of cat hair on it. And this vacuum didn t want to pick up the hair! I was so disappointed at how terrible it worked on the carpet. And given our modest area of carpeting in the house, we figured this was all we would need. Sadly, my partner and I were mistaken.
Ultimately, we brought this product back to the store and got a refund. I would suggest that others avoid the mistake we made and skip this product!
