Simple to use & easy to carry.

I purchased this for recording meetings. I have used it many times and found it to be better than I expected. In fact I would go so far as to say it is BY FAR the BEST sounding digital voice recorder I have used. And yes I have used a bunch and also listened to other recorders that don't even come close to this sound quality. It's extremely simple to set up and extremely simple to transfer to my MP3 player. Almost all functions can be done w/o the use of even opening the manual. Everything just makes sense! I purchased a case logic travel bag to tote it around and it fits great. With the new software download from www.edirol.com, this will actually take up to the new 8GB SDHC Class 2, reader cards and provide more than enough recording time. It is a bit expensive relative to the other recorders but in all I think you really get what you pay for if you are seeking a clear digital recorder.
