Very neat piece of kit

The Edirol R-09 is a superb bit of kit if you want good quality digital recordings. i use this for recording lectures and sound bites. The built-in stereo mike is very good and useful, but also limited because of being omnidirectional. I therefore often have to use an external mike. It is soooo much better than using the minidisk. It's pricey, for myself i would like a model which didn't quite have the high levels of quality available on the R-09 and therefore cost significantly less.
