Mixed feelings about this product.

This travel system is actually a good deal - my husband and I paid $189.00, which included a stroller, infant carrier and included the base for the carrier. The carrier also came with a headrest, as did the stroller. I love the look of this travel system. It is a very attractive design and color scheme. However, I have very mixed feelings on this product. Basically, I love the stroller and hate the carrier!

The stroller is the main reason that we chose this travel system. It folds up very, very easy. All that you have to do is slide a lever over while pushing it inwards at the same time and pull the stroller towards you. It folds practically by itself, and is folded into a standing position. It is not very heavy, I am able to get it in and out of the trunk of my car very easily. It does take up a bit of space, but to me is well worth it. The stroller has a storage compartment with a lid that snaps closed near the handles which is conveniant for keys, cell phone, etc. There are also two drink holders near the handle. On the tray of the stroller there is a drink holder for your child. This stroller also includes a very large storage compartment underneath for storing items such as diaper bag, shopping bags, toys, etc.

Now, to the carrier. I am mostly unpleased with the carrier. First of all, I have concerns about how safe it truly is for a small baby. My son was almost ten pounds at birth, so it wasn't as much an issue with us. There is a headrest that is included with the carrier, but as I said, my son was almost ten pounds at birth, and there was still way to much room around his head area. We had to roll up small receiving blankets for the first couple of weeks and place them around the headrest. Also, the straps that hold the baby in have actually come completely undone from the back of the carrier once! We had the carrier checked by the local fire department, and they fixed the straps for us. Getting the carrier in and out of the car is a snap if you use the base. However, if your car is not equipped with the latch system, installation of the base can be quite difficult! The travel system comes with a small buckle which prevents the seat belt from slipping if you do not have latch, but it is nearly impossible to get it on the seatbelt! My husband has to do it everytime. The carrier cleans up very easily, and all parts are easily removed and reassembled for cleaning. Oh, and one last thing about the carrier - it is soooooooo heavy! My son is now 15 pounds, and I can not carry him in his carrier into a store. It is all I can do to carry him into the house!

Overall I think it is a good product and purchase, but I think some changes should be made in the carrier aspect of the travel system. It is a good deal for the purchase price, and is very attractive.
